Petra's Bliss Balls

Everyone loves Petra's amazing bliss balls so by overwhelming demnad here is her secret recipe.

Getting grumpy, hungry or tired? Need an extra kick of energy before Saluting the Sun or after a peaceful Savasana?

These little guys are full of goodness to fuel your body and get you that extra shot of energy. The ingredients are packed with protein, calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamins, healthy fats, fiber, minerals and healthy sugar to turn the energy switch on and bring more vitality to your body.

They will last well in the fridge for up to 5 days and they can also be frozen on a sealed container as a nay time snack!

Makes: 16 small balls


10 pitted and fresh dates

1 Tbs hemp seeds

2 Tbs chia seeds

2 cups of oats - I use the gluten free oats from Bob's Red Mill

1/2 cup shredded coconut

1/2 cup almonds

1/4 cup sesame seeds

1/4 cup sunflower seeds

pinch of himalayan salt

pinch of cinnamon

Preparing it:

Soak dates in warm water for about 15 min.

Food Processor: Almonds and oats on high speed for a few seconds.

Add: all the seeds, salt, cinnamon and coconut to oats and almonds and food process them for a few more seconds.

Rinse the dates. They should be soft now.

With food processor on medium speed slowly start adding the dates until everything is mixed well together.

Cool them into little balls or small rectangle bars. You can add choc chip or chopped sultanas, cranberries, figs or any other dry fruit to it!
